Privacy Policy

Last updated

ProDevX Solutions ("I", "we", "us") runs prodevxsolutions.com. This policy explains what personal information the site collects, why, who handles it, and the choices you have. Contact: hello@prodevxsolutions.com.

1. Who is responsible

ProDevX Solutions, based in Lagos, Nigeria, is the controller of the personal information collected through this site.

2. What we collect

When you send an enquiry through the contact form: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number (if you give one), the project details you write, and the service or budget range you choose. We also record a reference number, the time of the enquiry and technical data needed to prevent abuse: your IP address is used briefly for rate limiting, and a one-way scrambled form of it (a salted hash) is kept with the enquiry to spot repeat abuse.

When you message us on WhatsApp or by email: whatever you choose to send, handled in those services.

When you use the chat box: after you first scroll, tap, click or type on a page, the site loads the Tawk.to chat box. Tawk.to keeps the messages you send and any name or email address you give in the chat, and sets its own cookies to recognise your browser so a conversation can continue, under its own privacy policy.

When you book a call: if you click the booking button, a Calendly window opens and Calendly collects the details you enter, under its own privacy policy.

When you open any page: the site checks which country your connection comes from, using your IP address, only to decide whether to show the WhatsApp or the booking option. It keeps just "Nigeria" or "international" in the pdx_region cookie and does not store your IP address or country.

When you browse the site: anonymous usage data through Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and identifies a visit by a hash of the request that resets after one day; page performance measurements through Vercel Speed Insights; and error reports through Sentry, which are cleaned of personal details before they are sent.

3. Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote (needed to respond to your request).
  • To keep the site secure and stop spam and abuse (our legitimate interest).
  • To understand how the site performs and fix errors (our legitimate interest).
  • To keep records we are required to keep by law.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Cookies

The site sets only these cookies, which remember your choices and are not used for tracking:

Services we embed or link to, such as the Cloudflare Turnstile spam check, Calendly and the Tawk.to chat box, may set their own cookies under their own policies.

5. Who handles your information

We use these providers to run the site. They process data on our behalf:

  • Vercel (hosting, analytics and performance)
  • Neon (database for enquiries)
  • Resend (sending email)
  • Cloudflare (DNS and Turnstile spam protection)
  • Upstash (rate limiting)
  • Sentry (error monitoring)
  • Sanity (site content; does not hold enquiry data)
  • Tawk.to (live chat)
  • Calendly and WhatsApp, only if you choose to use them

Some of these providers are outside Nigeria, so your information may be transferred abroad. We use providers that publish their own data-protection commitments, and we send them only what the service needs.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for 24 months after the last contact, then deleted or anonymised. Error and analytics data are kept for the period set by each provider.

7. Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you may ask to access, correct or delete your information, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Write to hello@prodevxsolutions.com. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

8. Security

We use access controls, encrypted connections and spam protection. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The site is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and show the new date at the top.
